Within the Netherlands, there is a large number of Turkish elderly people. This big number brings difficulties with the communication between patients and their carers within dementia care facilities. These problems occur due to language differences, not being familiar with the culture, inability to adapt to the new atmosphere in the caring facility, and the lack of family involvement of the clients.
This project aims to improve the communication between /Turkish dementia patients and their carers.
The problems can be solved with the usage of CareSpeak where the carers can keep track of their patients' routine, see their background, learn about the culture, and seek help with the translation service. With the usage of the help, the interaction and the communication will improve.
