Vision
As a designer, my mission is to spread awareness of the boundless potential of new technology and empower people to embrace innovation to better their lives. I prioritize designs that, centered on the user's unique requirements, promote positive behavior change. I want to build meaningful experiences by understanding people's views, motivations, and pain points by seamlessly integrating designs into their lives.
Although the M1.1 project and my M1.2 project were also user-centered and focused on simplicity, M2.1, and M2.2, my most recent projects, are a huge step toward realizing my goal. I want to understand the experiences, challenges, and objectives of the target audience through in-depth research with them. I close the gap between design theory and practice using a pragmatic approach, producing visually appealing and powerful creations.
I improve my research skills and get deep insights into the consequences of many variables across cultures and geographies by approaching research with an open mind and an unrelenting commitment to understanding individual requirements. These meetings motivate me to develop concepts that transcend borders and improve people's lives.
I am confident in my ability to create user-centric solutions for my projects by actively engaging target audiences, considering their viewpoints, and applying my newly acquired knowledge and abilities. This project provides the potential for personal improvement by broadening my perspective, increasing my understanding of various demographics, and having a long-lasting effect on society.
In conclusion, my passion for empowering people through straightforward and user-friendly design while spreading awareness of the potential of evolving technology has shaped my career as a designer and researcher. My empathy, research methodologies, and awareness of other cultures have been affected by my interactions with various people, including those with disabilities, and the Communication and Dementia project. These encounters have altered my perspective, improved my capacity for producing significant designs, and prepared the way for technology to spur advancements in all facets of life.
Identity
I'm convinced that rather than being afraid of technology, creative designs, and upcoming breakthroughs, we will constantly strive for more and have higher expectations of our potential. Designers will be crucial in this transformative journey by highlighting emerging technology's value, usability, and simplicity. We must increase our understanding of design and its underlying principles to support this evolution.
My ultimate goal as a committed designer is to educate society and individuals around me about the usability of formerly daunting technologies through painstakingly designed user experiences. My main goal is to provide solutions that prioritize the requirements and goals of the user while also facilitating positive behavior change. My most recent project, M2.1 and M2.2, is a crucial first step in achieving this goal. It is a thorough research initiative carried out directly with the target audience.
Although I desire to be a skilled UX researcher and designer, I must admit that I have just had the chance to work with a group that may be deemed a "vulnerable" population. However, working with a particular target population—people with dementia (PwD)—has greatly aided me in understanding empathy's enormous influence on the research process. By putting the target group at the center of my design process, I have learned a lot about conducting successful research, communicating effectively with various target groups, and raising awareness of the difficulties faced by people living with a disease in various cultural contexts.
The master's program has given me a unique opportunity to combine my love of design with research. It has allowed me to explore the challenges of designing for particular groups. I am confident in my abilities to develop effective, user-centric solutions that address the problems encountered by people by performing in-depth research and utilizing the insights gathered. This study is a stepping stone in my quest to develop inclusive and significant designs that empower people and communities regardless of their circumstances.
